Mr. Rolando Anillo holds both law and business degrees. He specializes in U.S.-Cuba Federal Regulations, Cuban Law, International Law and Immigration Law. He coordinates and conducts negotiations as permitted between Cuban and U.S. entities for licensed transactions, including meetings in Washington, D.C. and in Havana, Cuba. Mr. Anillo also represents U.S. companies and related entities before the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) in the need for and obtainment of all licenses and approvals as required by the Cuban Assets Control Regulations (CACRs), as well as responds to OFAC audits and investigations. In addition, he conducts permissible investigations for non-U.S. entities doing business with Cuba and developing confiscated properties in Cuba, including researching U.S. and Cuban claimants. Mr. Anillo also acts as a mediator in civil disputes and he is certified in residential mortgage foreclosure mediation.

Mr. Anillo has practiced law in Cuba as well as in the United States. Born in Santiago de Cuba, he graduated cum laude from University of Havana law school in 1988, and received his MBA from Barry University in 1997. He became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Court Mediator in 2008.

He is fluent in Spanish.
